I was going to call this a mission statement, but ultimately I decided against it. I suppose it seemed a little too pretentious.
The idea for this blog was born out of the desire to leave a written legacy for my son, Jackson. It’s something I wanted to start before he was even a thought in my mind, but procrastinator that I am, I didn’t actually begin writing it until a few days after his birth.
I really don’t know what to call this type of blog. It’s sort of an amalgamation of biography, memoir, life lessons, autobiography, anecdotes, and everything else in between.
My intent is to one day compile everything on here into book form and have it published (independently, most likely) so that I may present it to Jackson on his 18th birthday.
I hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as I’ve enjoyed living and writing about them.
